Silicone gel sheets can help with scar tissue regression and are used to treat existing scars for smoother, softer and flatter scars. Silicone Gel sheets can be used for treatment of burn scars, keloids, post-operative hypertrophic scars , or normal injury scars .
Silicone gel sheet is manufactured from medical grade silicone and is recommended only for topical applications .
The self-adhesive silicone gel films are water-repellent, air-permeable and can be easily cut to the desired size. Depending on the position, they may need to be additionally set. Silicone gel films can be used several times. Cleaning them with a neutral soap solution before each use is sufficient.
